Summary:
Manages the delivery of nursing services and safe patient care within assigned department and across the continuum of care. Manages the delivery of services that add value and are integrated with nursing standards of practice, service priorities and performance/outcome measures, as well as with strategic, business, and organizational goals/objectives.
This position will manage a 49 bed NICU with a Magnet recognized hospital with CCS designation.
Work hours are approximately 12pm – 8:30pm.
We are offering a 10% sign-on bonus. There is the potential to earn up to a 15% bonus based off the annual salary.
Education:
Academic degree in nursing required (bachelor’s or master’s degree).
Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
BSN and National Health/Nursing Administration Certification or MSN are required for PICU and NICU Departments for facilities that are CCS certified or desire CCS certification.
Experience:
Minimum five (5) years of clinical nursing experience relevant to a given position/department required, including three (3) years of management, supervisory or leadership* experience.
Certifications / Licensure:
License, Certification, Registration
Registered Nurse License (California)
Basic Life Support
RN Certified in Neonatal Intensive Care (RNC - NIC) required.
NRP required.
Level III: NICU background required.
5 years of NICU clinical nursing experience including 3 years of NICU management experience required.
Special Skills:
•Must be able to utilize independent decision-making skills in a wide variety of situations.
•Requires a high degree of accuracy in the performance of varied responsibilities.
•Personal computer skills required.
•Must be self-motivated to complete work in a timely manner to meet deadlines.
